BianZhiDai is an open-source font designed by Xiaoyuan Gao(notyourtype foundry), its original appearance is inspired by shading characters in ASCII art and Chinese Woven Plastic bags. Previously constructed in GDC (GLYPHDRAWING.CLUB), it was turned into modular when doing the revision.

The first version was released in 18th November at VTF, it came in six styles: Base, Comic, Cube, Pearl, Ring, Square.

This is the second version. With a steady structure, more decorative styles and stronger readbility.

Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality, such as artistic value or environmental value. Upcycling is the opposite of downcycling, which is the other part of the recycling process. Downcycling involves converting materials and products into new materials, sometimes of lesser quality. Most recycling involves converting or extracting useful materials from a product and creating a different product or material.[1] This upcycled cutting board was made from boxcar floorboards that were taken from a railroad salvage yard.
